Lilies Funeral Directors based in Sutton Coldfield have now opened their Birmingham funeral home, the opening ceremony showcased the array of funeral vehicles and bespoke services the west midlands company offers as well as speeches from owner, Lee Solomon, and Head of Funerals at SafeHands Funeral Plans, Will Eccleston.
The morning of the opening ceremony saw family and friends of Lilies Funeral Directors gather in support of the new opening, sampling the English Afternoon Tea style buffet that was supplied by Pretty Odd Props and purchasing ‘Memory Balloons’ that were released after the dove release that was supplied by Victorian Carriages. All proceeds were donated to John Taylor Hospice, JTH is the charity of choice for Lilies Funeral Directors as both owners, Lee Solomon and Nathan Scully, have had family members in their care.
Local community member Calum Horrocks is managing the new Birmingham funeral home, Calum and his wife live only a few minutes away and he is honoured to be serving his local community.
Later this year owner, Lee Solomon, will be running the Shenstone 10k on July 8th with his 5-month-old twins. Lee will be using a twin sports pushchair to run with his twin boys, Alexander and Theodore, around the 10k road race. This will be the first run the new Dad will be taking part in with his twin boys and he will be raising money for John Taylor Hospice for his efforts – please donate via the Lilies Funeral Directors JustGiving Page
